After completing my University Education in the Commerce program at UBC, I joined CIBC and worked in various positions within the Bank for 23 years including the last 19 as a Personal Financial advisor, a role which included advising high end Bank clients on all aspects of their finances including mortgages and secured credit lines.
In 2010 my wife Pam and I were blessed with the birth of our Daughter, Ameeka after 19 years of Marriage. I decided to take time off work from CIBC to be able to share in the raising of Ameeka for 2 years. I then felt it was time to go back to work and knew mortgage financing was my true passion and therefore, decided to primarily focus on this area going forward rather than continuing in my previous role at CIBC.
In the Summer of 2012 I was introduced to the good people at Invis West Coast Mortgages and after reviewing my options, I decided to join this Award winning team as I felt this was the best environment for me in terms of opportunities presented as well as having the flexibility to work flexible hours from within the confines of my own home here in Nanaimo. I have over 50 lenders at my disposal to help me find the best fit for my clients. One thing I discovered early on in my banking career is that there is no such thing as a perfect lender, however where mortgages are concerned dealing with a broker provides more options and the ability to get most deals done. We are the best choice.
As a broker we deal with most of the major banks, credit unions and a number of mortgage lenders who provide me great choices when I am looking for the best option. My goal is to find you the best rate based on your mortgage application.
My wife and I have lived in Nanaimo since 1993 and I grew up nearby in the Cowichan Valley and still have family in that area. I have lived on Vancouver Island most of my adult life and this will remain my family home. I will be around for years to help you make the best mortgage choice and be your mortgage broker for life.
